A couple movies in foreign languages came with .srt files. They are properly named to the movie name.srt yet Plex won’t see them even if I rescan or examine.
Are they named EXACTLY as the movie file, even case wise?
Please show a screen dump
And, is the Local Media Assets agent enabled for that library?
Yes. I went to properties and copied the name then pasted to the .srt file name.
It is exact and worked with my wdtv unit
Adding Local Subtitles to Your Media isn’t so bad once you get it sorted out 
You also might have to do The Plex Dance if you adjust anything.
Please show a directory listing of the movie & subtitle files.
Do you have the movie & subtitle file in their own directory, not in a common directory with other media?
Also, make sure you add the correct language code.
I deleted the show and the sub file from my consul.If it shows up again will get the information you ask for. Both the video and the sub file were copied to the drive at the same time.
