Start Up Wizard

Server Version#: 1.24.2.4973
Player Version#:

After the latest update, plex was uninstalled from my computer. I did a system restore but my server is not accessible. I am viewing plex through my Firefox browser.

How do I reload my server? There is no Wizard at start up.

Uninstalling Plex server doesn’t remove the Plex data from the computer.
If you uninstall and then re-install the server, everything should work as if nothing changed.

If you however have switched to a different email address/Plex username, you might not get access to the server (because it is still bound to the initially used Plex account).

This procedure Why am I locked out of Server Settings and how do I get in? | Plex Support should enable you to claim the server into a different Plex account.

Or you decide to remove all old Plex data first by performing the “thorough” uninstallation Uninstall Plex Media Server | Plex Support

I am using same plex credentials. I have access to a server that was shared to me that a family member hosts, but not mine.

I have tried to uninstall and re-install, but Wizard does not pick up.

I will try the steps in the article you have provided and report back. Thank you.

I was able to remove the registry and files. Clean install.

But no Wizard to set up a server. My server still not available.

How do I set up a new server?

After starting your server via the Windows start menu, is there a Plex icon in the task tray?
If there is, what happens if you open the link http://localhost:32400/web or http://127.0.0.1:32400/web in a web browser on that machine?

No plex icon in the taskbar. Going to Program File/Plex/Plex I can run plex.exe. It opens a new window, similar to the web access. My Home Screen is empty. No icon in taskbar.

Unable to connect message when going to those 2 addresses

You haven’t installed the Plex Server, but only a Plex client.
Download and install “Plex Media Server”.

Downloaded and installed. Right clicked on the task bar icon and selected update libraries.
Edit: Going to HTtp://127.0.0.1:32400/web brings up a page, but it’s just spinning right now for the last few minutes.
Edit2: After refreshing the page, the service set up wizard picks up. Looks like it was a simple solution. Thank you
