Why do I keep getting these notifications?
Do you have other users in your Plex Home?
And if so, have you ever switched to these users on this particular device? If you did, switch to them again, then enter the above Notification settings of the app and peruse them.
I’ve asked around and it appears that the notification was indeed intended for a different account.
If you could fetch the log files of the Plex client, we could confirm this.

I don’t think that’s what Otto was asking. I think he’s asking whether you have anyone else accessing your sever (users, managed users).
Please try providing the log files first. You can send them to me per PM, if you rather not want to post them here.

…and, yes, I can now see where I mis-read (or didn’t properly read) your post.
Wanted to let you know that we were able to figure out what happened here, @shard01. The details are kind of complicated and convoluted, but to try and give the gist:
- In the past, your Plex account had a different email address
- Our marketing system somehow still had an entry for that old address (in addition to an entry for the account’s current address)
- The same iPad device ID was associated with both entries
- The notifications were being sent to that old account entry, but since you have the same device on your current Plex account, they got delivered there
We’ve now removed the old entry from the system, so you should no longer see these unexpected push notifications.
