Yesterday I updated my PMS to the newest version that came out in the beta channel. It has since stopped allowing my xbox 360 to stream certain files. I can see my entire library however come categories will play and others won’t. I have tried playing various video types and that didn’t change the outcome. I rolled back the update, (why isn’t there a roll back update button?) and that hasn’t fixed the issue. I was able to stream everything before the update. the only thing that I can think is that for some reason the new update changed a setting allowing direct play to consoles or maybe the xbox platform specifically. I did uninstall and reinstall the Plex app from my xbox to make sure I have the newest one.
I am having the same problem impacting 2 Xbox360s. Both stopped working at the same time. I have uninstalled the app from the Xbox/re-installed and also wiped my xbox to factory defaults to same result. PS4/Android/Apple/SamsungTV Apps all still work.
I ran the installer again and did a repair still no good.
The following are showing up in the debug logs:
WARN - [CompanionProxy] request didn’t contain required argument: commandID
DEBUG - (Capabilities) Platform ‘Xbox 360 App’ not matched by plugin platform requirements

It seems that Microsoft isn’t publishing updates for the 360 apps anymore. I just went out and bought a Roku.
I had this same issue after updating my Plex server to 1.18.4.2171. I solved it by reinstalling the previous build I had been using: 1.18.0.1944. I can only guess that something between those two versions made the Xbox 360 app have some compatibility issue.
Hi Has anyone found a fix for this ? I’m having the same issue wiping reloading my xbox 360 sign out and in and nothing helps no other device has this issue on my network it also affects users with a 360 outside my network.

Why are there no plex staff commenting on this ?
The Plex Staff are not commenting on the Xbox 360 as the app is no longer allowed to receive updates per MS and is no longer receiving development (as of Oct 2017). See here: Plex for Xbox 360 Status Update
The previous comment stated going back to 1.18.0.1944 for PMS seemed to fix the issue. Obviously not the recommended way to fix it, but will likely be your only fix if you insist on remaining on the 360.
Thank you for the response it seems there is another fix as well. I’m running PMS on Windows 10 and it seems unaffected by the issue, my 360 is able to find and stream from my test PMS on windows without issue I’m going to test Ubuntu as well Currently my main server is on Cent OS 7 and the 360 can see the PMS but cant stream from it Seems like something different between the server version on windows and Cent OS 7 that’s causing the issues and not so much the 360 app.
