Without the SRT file the movie plays out well?
I’m having troubles also with 4k movies, but in my case I didn’t associate the issue with the subtitles.

I’m having some trouble watching the majority of my 2160p mkv movies on Plex. Sometimes the video looks smooth for a while, but is totally out of sync. Most of the time, it has a sequence of breaks, and on the media server you can see the movie buffering constantly in a “loop” (not the best term, I think). From what I could see, the ones that give me trouble have a video bitrate of 50-70 Mb, and the audio is DTS-HD-MA or TRUE-HD. The ones I can watch without problems (I’ve only tested two mov…
