Server Version#:1.31.2
Player Version#:4.100.1
Installed Plex Media Server on QNAP TS-464 via the AppCenter.
As soon it was done, I opened it and it took me straight to the web version which is expected. I set up a new library and copied the exact same settings from my old setup which is Windows Plex Media Server.
With Windows Plex Media Server, the subtitles are perfect for how I set it up.
But with QNAP, the font styling is just hard to read, I’ve not changed the .ssa subtitles font as it was original/untouched from Windows over to QNAP HDD.
Here’s what happens. I recently got myself a new QNAP 464 a few days ago and the subtitles turn out to be horrible. For many years, I use Plex Media Server on Windows that plays directly to my Nvidia Shield/Firestick/PC with no issues so I’ve decided to move Plex over to QNAP so that I can leave my QNAP running 24/7 and so that I can rest my main PC by shutting it down. Now I wish I haven’t done that because I couldn’t find a solution to this Font Styling issue.
I’m tempted to move back to Windows and return this QNAP but willing to wait a few more days before my 30 days of free returns run out with Amazon Prime ![]()
So far, I’ve searched on Google, I’ve asked on QNAP’s Unofficial Discord and now I have tried Plex’s forum. This is what I came up with from Plex’s forum and I was hoping to fix this but was unsure where to start and how to do it.

Now, I’ve checked but can’t find anything related to fonts.
Any help would be grateful.
Thanks
