Subtitles missing since the last update

Since the last server update my subtitles are not working right… every now and then, one line of dialog simply doesn’t appear on the screen and it’s very annoying. I have the 1.15.2.793 server version and I use Plex through the app in a LG Smart TV.

To be more precise, it loads the subtitles just right, but every few minutes, some lines just vanish. Curious thing is, sometimes, if you rewind the missing line do appear, and we’re talking about movies I’ve already seen before and I know is not a problem of the subtitile file. Is an issue that was not happening before this last update.

Anyone else with this problem?

Like I said, I have this problem with movies I’ve already seen before and I didn’t have this problem before… yes, their are supported subtitles, they’re SRT archives. Is not a problem of compatiblity with the files, there’s something wrong with the server or the player.

You will need to give as much information as possible as guessing is not productive. So saying little will produce little, sorry but you seem to think we should know. Also your a couple version behind and have you Optimised your database or cleared your cache in LG TV? A problem that was not historically apparent can be a dying storage drive, introduced new software, corrupt cache, Ram constraints, Network dropouts and so on…

So Server machine, Server OS version etc Please…

I have a nu8000 Samsung and have the same issue. Server and app version are up to date. I was trying to watch a show that had subtitles and you would get a line or two and it would stop showing them.

I am using a Windows server on a wired network. I was trying to play a 1080p 264 with EAC3 audio and srt subtitles (forced and regular sane issue with both).

I also am thinking it might be on the server end due to another situation that involves the audio to get out of sink with the video when trying to direct stream.

I’m noticing a lot of people are having subtitle issues while using different players. I found out that changing the subtitle selection, in the app, away from automatic. Seems to have solved the issue.
