The Plex Android app on my Sony X80J Smart Google TV (KD75X80J) does not display subtitles after either switching to another application or closing and reopening the app. To resolve the issue, I have to restart the TV or force stop the application from the settings menu. This issue occurs consistently, and it is negatively impacting the user experience.
Steps to reproduce:
- Start playing a video with subtitles enabled.
- Press the home button on the TV remote to switch to another application or close the Plex app.
- Reopen the Plex app and resume the video.
Expected result: Subtitles should still be displayed when switching between applications or after reopening the app.
Actual result: Subtitles are not displayed when switching between applications or after reopening the app. The only way to restore subtitles is by restarting the TV or force stopping the application from the settings menu.
Workaround: Restart the TV or force stop the Plex app from the settings menu to restore subtitle functionality.
Frequency: This issue occurs consistently.
