External SRT subtitles are not being picked up by Plex, only embedded ones on the MKV.
I have both files in the same folder with the same exact name, tried adding .eng. as well and it didn’t work.
The strange thing is, adding the same files on the same folders to a different Plex Media Server on a Mac Mini resolves the problem, all subtitles are picked up and played without a flaw.
They are also configured the same (local media assets on top, etc)
Can somebody help me with this ? I’ve tried everything!
One example is The Accountant on the Movie library.

Well, according to your log, it found the poster, background art, and the subtitle. Can you provide the XML from PMS for that movie?
Thanks for the XML. It shows it picked up the 5 embedded subs but not the external one. I just finished examining your logs and I’m seeing a bunch of errors with PMS itself, possibly database related. It almost looks like the update to 1.3.3 did not work correctly. Do you remember if you added this movie before or after you had 1.3.3 running?

Is there a fix for this. I’m having the same issue. My subtitles will work perfectly fine with the same exact show and srt file on my Plex NAS server but they will not work on the Plex WD server.
