For some reason when watching a tv show on my smart tv the subtitles wont play. My subtitles work on multiple devices for all my shows so this is a specific device error I think. The subtitles show as playing and not being transcoded in plex dash, but no subtitles on the tv screen. I’ve turned subs off and on and tried multiple shows on my tv, I can’t get the subs to work.
Almost the same here. I got a new Synology and moved (reinstalled) Plex from the old one to the new one.
With the old one I could always see subtitles on my Fire TV. With the new one I can select subtitles, but they don’t appear on the screen. The strange thing is that when I play the same movie in a browser or in the Windows app, it works fine. I’ve been trying to configure the server for hours now, but nothing has changed.
The only thing that came to mind is that the version on the old NAS was 1.28.2.6106-600, installed directly from the Synology Package Center, and the version on the new NAS I got from the plex .tv is 1.32.8.7639-7000.
Any Idea´s?
