Subtitles on-demand visible to all users when it should not be

Server Version#: 1.17.0.1709
Player Version#: PlexWeb 3.108.2

Hello,

I have written about this strange behavior in the past
It seems that even after so many new versions of PMS and PlexWeb, the problem is still here.

To recap.: A user searches for a subtitle via PlexWeb and downloads it.
All users, including the server owner, will then see the subtitle and have it enabled by default.

Plex states:

Subtitles searches are saved for each user separately. If a friend of yours needs a subtitle in different language than you, it will not show in your list.

Nevertheless, it is not true. The downloaded subtitles show up for all other users also.

In an English speaking country, this would not be really a problem.
Because the server and users are not from a native English speaking country, we need subtitles in a different language and this is where the problem is: so many subtitles on opensubtitles.org are translated using google translate or an equivalent software. Translating a web page to sort of understand what it says is OK, but for movies and TV Shows, is a total disaster.

If a user wants to have a google translate subtitle, that is on him/her.
But I am searching for a way to disable this behavior. Anyone else in the same boat?

Thank you.

I am able to reproduce this. This should not be happening so I’m checking with the team why. Thanks for the report.

Although, I actually like having the subs available to everyone.
