Subtitles working on one Roku not the other

Server Version#: 1.29.2.6364
Player Version#: current Roku player
My Roku Ultra shows subtitles and my Roku Ultra 2022 version does not. Settings appear to be the same. If I set burn in to “always” I see subtitles on the 2022 version but it keeps having to load which makes it unwatchable.

There is an overall Roku setting for subtitles. Make sure that is on.

Thank you very much, I searched a bit longer and finally found it under
Roku Settings > Accessibility > Captions mode > Always (then in Plex I can turn it on and off)
The font is different than on my other Roku but that is fine.

Great post this worked for my Roku’s too. I added Burn to mine as well even though it can cause issues as well. Also if you don’t like the fonts or colors or position you have those choices as well in the Roku Player, FYI.
