Never had this problem in the two years using plex. It will be green and fine all day, then suddenly I’ll check it and it is no longer available outside my network. What changed recently? Anyone else having this issue?
same here…I’ve tried everything but zero luck. I have had the same setup for 5 years, this is a first. I rebooted Fios router, switches, server…made sure ports were forwarded. Got me baffled.

I’m on Linux but I’m having a lot of connection speed issues on remote access, when it was working perfectly yesterday
My server also showing red (not available out with my network) but if I actually try to connect over 4g then I can without issue. Also not had availability issues for ages.
I’m getting it using PMS on Win 10 Pro. I started a separate thread for it, before learning that it’s apparently somewhat widespread, and is happening on multiple OSes.
Like one of the other users, my remote access shows red, says it is not accessible … yet actually is accessible, as I have had friends watching media through my server remotely just fine.
I dunno if I am lucky, or that’s just a quirk of Win 10. But mine says it’s not accessible, yet actually is.
Windows 10 here also. Says remote connections not available, have red dot AND mobile app says in bold red letters, OFFLINE. Yet, I just hit play on a movie and it started playing, after 20 seconds or so, outside of my network. Hmph. Very strange.
since the last update, the remote access tells me im on multiple routers and i only have one router, i have tried pluggin my cable directly in my computer also, but still no change… plex has worked great until the last update, and i see many others have issues now… i have bought a plex pass, and i can’t understand why the programmers of this app/program messes everything up for us! FIX THIS NOW!
I can log in remotely, but I am unable to access libraries. The home page comes up but when I click on something nothing loads.
I think I have the same problem. My remote access has a green dot but when I try to refresh the plex app on my phone it keeps saying the server is offline.
I’m also having an issue with remote access since the last update. Windows 8.1, Netgear R6400 router. I’ve never had issues before. I’ve tried reserving an IP for my computer and port forwarding, though I’ve never had to in the past, and rebooted everything multiple times. Nothing works.
I have the same thing as obievel, where the server shows “Not available outside your network,” though I can log in remotely and the home page loads, but I can’t access libraries, and if I click on anything from the home page it doesn’t load.
