Do you have manual double NAT?

Your logs show a LAN IP where a WAN IP is expected.

Hi ChuckPa thanks for the quick response, unfortunately I cannot find such a setting on my router but I haven’t made any changes to my router for almost a year and this wasn’t an issue prior to a week or so ago. I will restart my router and see if that helps at all, do you have any other suggestions?

Restarting my router worked… maybe a brownout or something momentarily cut power to it and it didnt fully power down or something. Thanks for putting me on the right track, let me know if i should look further into that setting for the router.

It sounds like you got a firmware update ??

There have been a lot of updates impacting folks recently.

I’m glad you are working.

I restart the router, reboot my pc, and closed Plex and restarted it. I still get remote not available outside your network. Errrrr.

I also believe my router had a firmware update which may or not have caused this. I dont know where to look.

Thanks for your assistance

@PignCactus

Turn Remote Access OFF for an hour or two.

Plex.tv is telling the server to STOP sending so many requests. (HTTP 422)

Hi @ChuckPa.

I’ve recently come across the same error most of these folks are having after 2+ years of running smoothly and can’t figure it out. I’ve been on the phone with my ISP and they’re convinced its an issue with my setup.

I’ve run through this thread and havent found the answer that works yet so I’ve attached my logs.

Thanks!

This is what your log shows us:

  1. Can talk to Plex.tv
  2. Did not get a port number in the reply (WHY???)
  3. The IP address is unchanged
  4. “We’re done here”

When I look at your account, this server instance (3 years old) never had Remote Access enabled ?

CREATED OVER 3 YEARS AGO
LAST SEEN LESS THAN A MINUTE AGO
PUBLISHED NO
LOCAL ADDRESSES 192.168.1.11
PLATFORM WINDOWS
PLATFORM VERSION 6.1 (BUILD 7601)
VENDOR MICROSOFT
DEVICE PC

PRESENCE YES
SECURITY (PLEX HOME/PIN) NO

When you look at : Settings - Server - Remote Access - SHOW ADVANCED,

Do you see LAN IP , WAN IP. and a port number ?

@ChuckPa Could you reset my cert as well? I had trouble for weeks updating and finally uninstalled/reinstalled. Along the way my access has been quite shotty.
Now the Remote access page says its all good but nothing can connect even on the same network.

Odd. I can guarantee Remote Access is enabled and the server has been running steadily for the last 2+ years.

Yes, the IPs are there. The WAN IP (Public) goes to port 0. x.x.x.x:0. (Which is the reason I believe I’m getting the “Not available outside your network) error”

Was running perfectly up until about 2 weeks ago and then it just went down and haven’t been able to get it connected since.

@jonny_h10

Have you signed the server in and assigned it to a different account?

@2380mg

Your cert is fine.

Can you show me why you think you need a reset ?

Interesting. Thank you for checking and replying so quickly.

It would have been really nice to see this when it happened.

Waiting two weeks means all the records in the log files are gone.
That’s why reaching out promptly is important.

Well, I just cant connect to my plex server from anything (phone, tablet, tv, guest house tv, parents’ tv, etc). Everything was fine just a week or so ago.
I used to be able to select my Plex server and if it didnt load the content it would after a couple tries, now i cant even do that. I just says ‘offline’

Can I send any logs?

Darn, okay. I’ll keep on trying things.

Same case for me. I wish I reached out sooner but I didnt think it was a big deal… Now Im in a pickle.

@2380mg

Check your PM

On Windows, Defender and the firewalls love to get in the way.
Can you confirm they all allow port 32400/tcp ?
