To all following / who find this:

For SuperMark10, this was a two fold problem on QNAP

  1. Tweaked port forwarding in the modem/router (manual port forwarding needed tweaking) to allow the manual-set external port to the NAS.
Corrected QNAP NAS firewall settings to allow 32400 into the QNAP from Remote.

  2. Lastly, corrected (unlocked) the Android player app + enabled hardware transcoding and remote networking speed controls by adding PlexPass.

A minor tweak of the Android app player quality settings resulted in DirectPlay of most media. Now only those items above the upload speed limit are transcoded on N5105 (JasperLake) CPU

Hi there, similar issues to the other posters - plex had been happily working for a long time, now it is not. Remote access enabled, local page shows it’s available on specified port. Tried changing specified port with no joy. Unlinked and re-linked server to account, no joy either. Please could you assist?

EDIT: Nothing worked, other than accessing the (working) port via the browser on the external IP address and linking the server from that address - e.g. https://PUBLICIPADDRESS:32400

Some sort of bug?

EDIT2: This worked once, but did not survive a server restart, so clearly isn’t the way to go. Please assist?

Hi, I think I am having the same issue. Remote access turns off after 10 seconds and I haven’t changed anything.
Have attached my logs.
