Please can someone advise …
My current setup is that I have Plex Media server installed on my Synology DS416 NAS which works great.
I have a plex pass to allow Sync and I currently sync content to my mobile phone and the cloud Sync ( Drop Box ) - works great.
I have installed Plex for Windows on my windows 7 laptop and ensured my plex account is logged in and also the server is also logged in.
I use my Facebook account ( Linked ) to log into Plex for Plex Web , Plex Server and Plex Media player.
When I go and select the Sync option on some content , my mobile and Cloud appear as a destination but my Laptop is not appearing. I can confirm that my laptop appears under the devices as registered.
Sync is not (and most likely will not be) implemented for PC’s.
Your only option is to copy the file to your PC if you want to have it there locally and then use something like VLC player to watch it.

Many people have issues with SYNC. This feature is not working correctly for many and on many devices / apps. I as a Plex Ninja has to inform all and every one about this.

Plex for Windows 8.1 <- The sync feature should be available in the Windows Store App on any PC. Remember that you do not have o initialize the sync from the Web. You can do it from the app itself.
I’m able to use SYNC and it stores the movies on the laptop. unfortunately you can’t use Plex to watch them offline with the Plex player. So I just use VLC to watch them. It stores them in way that makes it hard to find so that download option is probably a better option until this issue is truly fixed.
