Sync seems to work from each mobile device, but it does not work from the web app like the support section says to do it https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201053678-Sync-Media-to-a-Device. This makes syncing up kids ipads super long and labor intensive. As I understand it , I should be able to have converted versions already saved and just click “sync” on that version and pick a device. All web app sync requests convert, but sit at waiting to download, and when “sync” is pressed on device nothing happens.
Please provide the logs from the kid’s device after hitting the sync button.

Ok. It looks like your Admin account is the one that initiated the Sync jobs. Any user can see the Synced data, but the user that started the first sync job is considered the owner. Looks like your admin account is the owner. If you create the Sync job from Plex Web, the app cannot perform the sync since your kid’s account is not the sync owner. If this is what you want to do, you can remove all the sync items on the iPad, then resync the items but this time use your kid’s account. Then when adding new sync items, switch to your kid’s account in Plex Web first.
