To all who find this:

Based on work with DSM 6 and 7, I’ve created a dedicated tool to fix our NAS systems

Uninstall/Reinstalling PMS is no longer required.

Tested on DSM 6 & 7. All is :green_circle:
Other host platforms are also supported and more easily added.
