There was a problem claiming this server on setup

I just changed my a mesh network router eero 6+ and had issues with Plex. I am having trouble claiming my server on a Synology DS920+ running DSM 7.0.1.-42218. When I try to claim it, the icon cycles for a while and then gives me the option to claim it. I am using Player Version#: 1.28.2.6151-7000, which is I downloaded this evening.

I attempted to uninstall my PMS and reinstall. The PMS found the server, but on Server Setup I changed the name from my previous server by adding a 2, it gave the error: There was a problem claiming this server. It then allowed me to “Add Library” when the Media Library step came. After I finished it should the server with a triangle exclamation point. I ran into the claim server button spinning and then going back to the button.

I followed the online help and attempted to use the [ukdtom] (ukdtom (Tommy Mikkelsen) · GitHub)/[ClaimIt]
(GitHub - ukdtom/ClaimIt: ClaimIt 4 Plex Media Server)

I received the following error:
Claiming server
Fatal error happened
HTTP returned Status 500

I then uninstalled and attempted to reinstall using the token. That gave an error.

I have included my logs.

Paul that sounded like a long day, I’m sorry to hear that.
ChuckPA created a new utility for claiming:

Take a few minutes to consider that thread.
The Synology FAQ is also great. Your videos and metadata should be okay.

To add: May I recommend using the Plex Claim Token method which I built into the Synology DSM 7 package?

The DSM 7 package is tailored to Synology. The general purpose utility is for everything else (and a bit more work to use)
