Server Version#: 1.18.4.2171-ac2afe5f8
Player Version#: Unknown
Plex, which was previously working fine is now showing as an unclaimed server and my TV is no longer able to see any servers. Plex also no longer shows up when I view my network on my Win10 PC.
I was previously running 1.16.5.x which is shown as being the latest version by Synology when the problem started. I manually updated to the latest version and the problem continued. Having read a bunch of FAQs and forum posts I believe the issue may be that I have deleted the server as an Authorised device but when I try to re-authorise it nothing happens.
I logged out of my account and stopped PMS. I then run the server on the NAS. I select to Open it and it shows that the server is unclaimed. I click to claim it and it takes me to app.plex.tv to sign in. I do so and it says sign in is OK and routes me back to [synologyIP]:32400/web/index.html which displays an error message.
“There was a problem signing into plex” (even though it is signed in) and the claim fails.
Additional oddity. Despite running the latest Version 1.18.4.2171 the Settings General page states that there is an update.
What I have tried…
Uninstalled Plex from the NAS, deleted the plex folder, restarted the NAS and reinstalled.
Reset my router (Netgear Nighthawk X6S / R8000p), checked that UPnP is enabled (it is).
I checked port 32400 on https://www.canyouseeme.org/ and it could NOT see it.
I set up port forwarding on the router and https://www.canyouseeme.org/ can now see it
I tried using Claimit.exe from my Win desktop but it failed with a (500) internal server error. After I set up port forwarding it did better…
Got pms identifier…
Got plex.tv user token…
Got claim token as… all green
Followed by the (500) internal server error.
Any advise for what to try or links to faqs that I may have missed would be very much appreciated.
