okay, so it seems that maybe I should have uninstalled the DSM6 Plex app before installing DSM 7 PMS.
(Is it me or is it totally counter-intuitive that a new install will see your old libraries, but not an “update”?!)
So, I guess I now need to uninstall PMS 1.24.5.5173-7000, restart and try again. Only thing is, I am confronted with three options when I go to uninstall:
Uninstall only
Sign out and unclaim this server
Erase all of Plex Media Server from this system. (Not Recoverable)
I don’t know at this point if option three will erase previous installation’s library files, so I’m frozen…
As long as you have your full metadata in the “Plex” named shared folder
Uninstall w/ Erase (cleans out the DSM 6 → DSM 7 upgrade mistakes
When everything is cleaned out, the next installation will automatically start Migrating (It will print errors or sit at “installing” for an extended period.
