Synology DSM 7.2.2-72803 -» Plex stopped working

Hello All,

I have upgraded my Synology DSM218 to version 7.2.2-72803 and Plex has stopped working. I can only Uninstall it, NAS restart did not help neither. I am running the latest available package, Plex Server Version#: 1.40.5.8921-7000.

Any constructive ideas?

Many thanks

Antal

You need the latest beta for it

New Synology DSM 7.2.2+ installer

Synology changed their installer for DSM 7.2.2. Plex had to create a separate package for systems running 7.2.2.

Download the DSM 7.2.2 package from plex.tv.

Question: Assuming I install both updates (DSM and Plex), how will that affect end viewers (both me and folks who are invited to have access)? The DSM notice said it was shifting decoding from the NAS to the end players. I assume that means the Roku or Fire or smart TV or whatever. Not everyone using my Plex library will have the latest playback technology. Or is all this handled on the PMS level and won’t matter once the updated PMS is installed?

I’m leery of doing this upgrade if it might mean shutting people out of my library.

That affected only Synology apps. Plex works like always. It can still access the Intel graphics in the CPU.

Ohhh. Thanks. That’s reassuring.
