Synology DSM 7.2.2 - PLEX 1.41.1.9057 won't start

Server Version#:DSM7.2.2
Player Version#:PLEX 1.41.1.9057

I have been running my Synology DS1817+ on DSM 7.2.1, and applying the weekly PLEX updates as they are available with no issues. I was running PLEX 1.41.1.9057 when I upgraded to DSM 7.2.2 … I was surprised to find that although my PLEX version is higher than the minimum recommended version for 7.2.2, PLEX won’t run (incompatible)
I can’t apply 1.41.0.8994, as its older, and I can’t roll back the DSM.

Also PLEX 1.41.1.9057 is NOT a Beta version, as 1.41.0.8994 appears to be, which is confusing?
I have 2 questions!
1 - How did I get a PLEX version (from PLEX) ahead of the current beta?
2 - Apart from waiting until there is a Plex version greater than my installed version, or doing a clean install of Plex (NOT an nice option!!) any other solutions?

Due to changes in DSM 7.2.2 there is now a separate Plex Media Server package.

  1. Uninstall Plex Media Server. When prompted, choose the Uninstall Only option.

  2. Download the desired DSM 7.2.2+ version from plex.tv.

  3. Install using Package Center.

Note: DSM does not permit direct downgrades. To install a prior release, you must first uninstall the current release.

Thanks, that solution worked perfectly.
I guess my issue was that I didn’t realize that DSM7.2.2 needed a different PLEX fork to DSM7.2.1.
