Hello, can someone help me please? Since installing DSM 7 on my Synology, my Diskstation media server no longer appears in my PLEX menu.
I no longer see the server or my multimedia.
I have authorized all possible accesses.
But I still do not see my diskstation server on my PLEX.
I have taken and installed all the latest versions on both Plex and my Synology.
I followed the instructions to authorize all accesses even as an administrator, but nothing.
Can someone help me please?
I am desperate. It worked very well with DSM 6 on my Synology.
I regret having installed DSM 7 on my Synology.
It worked very well before.
Thank you for your valuable help.
Best regards.
If there are any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me as I’m the author of the procedure and ugliness we had to endure to bring our metadata from DSM 6 → DSM 7,
Hello, thank you very much for your reply. Indeed, since the update to DSM 7, I can no longer see my “Diskstation” in Plex. I carried out the procedure that Synology suggested to me, that is to say, release all access and administrator authorization for Plex media server and Plex. Attached are some photos with the settings that I need to change in my Synology, I carried out the same procedure for all my folders with my multimedia files. Thank you very much for your help.IMG_2328|690x555
Their advice is… incomplete.
You’ll need to go through the entire process described in the link posted above to restore/migrate your DSM6 server on DSM7.
I tried the method scrupulously to the letter but I do not see my diskstation in my PLEX. Even by going through the IP address of my server directly 192.168.1………. or by 127.0.0……. remains the same, nothing is displayed.
I am really desperate and sad. I do not know what to do except sell everything.
Is 192.168.1……… the IP address of your Syno NAS?
127.0.0.1 is a loopback to the local device, so by using this, all you get is the MAC’s local PMS. The Syno mit showing there means it’s not linked to your Plex account (claimed) at this point (or it’s not running at all).
What is it you get to see if you open http://[local Syno IP address]:32400/web and http://[local Syno IP address]:32400/identity ?
