You’re correct, there is no “Plex” shared folder anymore. DSM 7 forced us to change to be “PlexMediaServer” (to match the package name).

DSM 7 also forced us to change the username. For consistency sake, we chose “PlexMediaServer”.

DSM 7 separates “Local Users” from “apps” (which it now calls “System Internal Users”).

When you grant permission for Plex to read your media shared folders, you grant permission to “System Internal User” “PlexMediaServer”
