Synology Plex wont open after DSM 7

Hey Everyone

First post but really struggling.
Plex Version: 1.24.1.4931-7000

Just updated to DSM 7 on my Synology 718+ and after installing the latest Plex Server it now wont open when I try through the Package Center. I can go to Plex.tv and open it that way and have all the same controls but its just annoying it wont load through the Synology.

it comes up with “Page isnt working” “(ip address) didnt send any data”

Ive tried:

Restarted Plex, restarted Synology, restarted Router, uninstalling and reinstalling and ill restart my computer tonight after i post this.

Also checked this post out but still no good.

Do you have the local firewall turned on, on the Synology?

I am having the exact same problem. I have tried the mode 2 reset and reinstalled Dsm and a fresh install of Plex from their website. Still same problem. Oddly enough Plex is still running and works fine on the mobile app and Apple TV app. I just can’t log into the app on the dsm. Please help. I’m wanting to use the live tv and eve function but I can’t get this figured out.

Well in the process of getting my logs I figured out the problem. I was able to log into plex via the website. I went to settings>network and under the enable server support for ipv6 i changed it from required to preferred. Saved it and all is good now. Thanks Trumpy81 for the help.

I have a problem installing PMS V 1.24.3.5033 on Synology server with DMC V 7.0-41890.
I receive an error message “This package requires DMS 7.0-40000 or older.”
I appreciate any help on a fix. I believe both are the most current version.

Thanks but I can not find a Plex version for DMS 7.
Can you provide location of that version?

Great Thanks I will try it.

Thanks for suggestion The latest DMS version is installing now.
It will take awhile but hopefully the install and migration will be clean.
