TCL 55C739 and chromecast with google tv - plex doesn't work fine

Hello, have TV TCL 55C739. 2 days ago I found plex doesn’t work for me.

  • if I play some video, after some minutes videos start to tear. Video and audio tearing for 1-2 minutes…
  • every video in plex starts in “pause state” so I must click on play button

Internet connection is working fine, checked everything (worked some years as network administrator). TV is updated. I see plex app in TV was updated automatically on 14/2. Before the update plex worked fine. Maybe it’s because of something wrong with update?

Videos are mkv, mp4, avi.

Tried to play videos in android mobiles and laptop (web), everything works fine.
So I have a problem with TLC and Chromecast with Google TV.
Any idea please?

If it will be necessary, will attach logs / maybe verbose logs?

Video of “pause state” after play movie

Video freezing / if video stars to freeze, plex is extremely slow (I click on quit plex and waiting for about 10 seconds)

seems playing videos is fixed now by new update of plex client.
But still have a problem if I open video, it’s “paused” and I must click on play icon

ok seems an update has something wrong. hope it will be fixed soon.

Same problem here with TCL C835. All video start paused, need to press play manually
Other player like desktop or mobile works fine.

Seems it started after firmware update of the TV. Not sure if its problem of the firmware or Plex itself

Same issue here on a Sony Bravis. Media plays but stutters until plex crash. During the stuttering the UI is slow, unresponsive until crash. ANDROID TV also unresponsive during stuttering. Looks like a memory leak or something since last Plex update.

Which platform is PMS running on?

I will need DEBUG (not VERBOSE) SERVER logs ZIP file which capture the playback

  1. Start playback
  2. Recreate / capture stutter
  3. Stop playback
  4. Download Logs ZIP file
  5. Attach here please

(need to see what’s wrong first :wink: )
