Server Version#: Version:1.13.4.5251
I have had my plex on a NAS for the past year and everything was fine. I updated my NAS OS and plex server TOS ver 3.1.07 on my NAS and now plex doesn’t see the directory. I can VLC to my movies via apple tv and via a computer but I would rather see them in my plex library. I have checked my permissions and everything seems to be correct. I am running Version:1.13.4.5251 on a TerraMaster NAS. I have reset the server software to set up again and that didn’t work. This happened after I updated the server app. any help is appreciated.
I’m experiencing the same problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled pms, I’ve updated server firmware, and I’ve tried moving files around. The only place where Plex will let me path to and work from, is a location that TNAS won’t let me map as a network drive on my computer, denying me access even with root/admin access. I’m so fed up with this device, I just want this crap to work. I’m on TOS 3.1.10, and server version 1.13.4.5251. I also haven’t been able to get my server to consistently stay connected to be available on and off the local network. I have the port forwarding set up, but it keeps saying it’s connected for about 10 minutes, allowing me to view it from my phone, then suddenly it just says it’s disconnected and stops working again.
I am also having the same very frustrating problem since updating TOS. I can no longer “browse” for the folder.
Plex ver: 1.13.4.5251
TOS ver: 3.1.07
Normally my files are kept in this path (/User/admin/home/Plex Media/…)
Now, when I try to browse for the folder I can not get beyond (/mnt/md0/User/admin) as it shows no folders or files in my admin folder.
For some reason the access to this directory has been disabled.
Please as this has completely prevented PLEX from loading any media.
Thanks!
I updated to TOS ver: 3.1.10 to no avail. I uninstalled Plex from the NAS, rebooted, and reinstalled Plex. Still no access to the Plex paths. I even tried copying my files to a new drive and still, no luck. What is going on here? Either Plex or Terramaster has a serious issue. And, since I’m getting no response from Plex I have now put in a service request with Terramaster.
…more to come
Any update on this? I’m having the same issue.
Searched some other blogs cause i got the same problem but still no solution for this. Maybe its possible to backup to an older software version? Version 1.13.9.5416
I’m also having this issue. Not sure if it’s on the Terramaster/TOS side of things, or if it is a Plex issue. Either way, a solution would be greatly appreciated.
Same issue. Updated Terramaster Nas to 3.1.15 and Plex could no longer see the folders in my library. Reinstalled Plex and issue remained. Same as you, I can access files directly, but PLEX cant see them.
Spoke with Terramaster who told me the files can no longer reside in the admin folder. I moved all my files to the public folder and Plex can see them again.
