The connection to the server is not strong enough to play this movie

Im waiting for an answer

Your server is only doing certain maintenance tasks separate from scanning your files during the specified „maintenance window“. If that time window is too small or if there’s too many jobs, some of them will be postponed to the next maintenance window (and so on). This could be the reason why the chapter picture creation takes so long in your setup.

But i dont understand why my pictures not came before.

Its the first time my pictures didn’t came.

As I wrote above, we can currently only guess. I suspect you have added a lot of media or have only allowed a relatively small period of time for scheduled maintenance tasks.

You can review the latter in Settings > [Server Name] > Scheduled Tasks to allow your server a few hours per night for those scheduled activities.

I never did that before. Before in the time would my pictures come. And i did not that in setting before in the time? But is there a bugs or more bugs?

So there are no bug or more bugs?

It is most likely a configuration issue, not allowing enough time for scheduled tasks to complete.

Please increase the hours allotted to Scheduled Tasks, then wait to see if that helps the situation.

Configurations issue? What are you mean? How can there be a configurations issue? Is that a configurations issue?

This has been explained to you multiple times in this thread.

Plex Media Server needs adequate time to perform the Scheduled Tasks.

If adequate time is not allocated, it will take longer for those tasks to finish. Among other things, this can result in delayed generation of chapter thumbnails.

That is why it was suggested you increase the time allotted to Scheduled Tasks.

The screenshots I posted two days ago are from my Plex Media Server.

Every movie on my system that has chapters also has chapter thumbnails.

It is up to you whether or not to configure your system the same. Doing so will only help. It will not cause problems.

What we mean is this:

  • Plex is allowing for certain tasks to be performed outside the time you’re usually using Plex. This is to avoid some CPU intensive task to impact an ongoing stream (e.g. if the CPU is busy with that background task, it might not have enough power to transcode).

  • You can configure when this slot is supposed to be and how long the server might allocate for those tasks… this is basically because not everybody is working/living in the same rhythm.

  • If the slot is too short and there’s a lot of work, Plex will have to split it over several nights (and will therefore take much longer to finish the job

As for the rest – what FordGuy61 just said.
The most likely configuration issue has been pointed out a number of times incl. how to get there. You should give Plex 3-4 hours every night – it won’t need it every night but if there’s a lot to do, that should give it enough time.

As an example: If you usually go to bed at midnight, let Plex start its maintenance at 1am (01:00)… if you usually get up at 6am, let Plex do its work until 5am.

I did it for 2 days ago. But i do not understand why my pictures would come so fast In the past?

Maybe you only recently changed that configuration or you had a particular large amount of files to be processed. There can be a lot of reasons.

I’m happy it’s working now

I always had bigger files last time.

It’s not about the size of your files. Just how many tasks the server has to do.

So it would work with more tasks now than before?

No – the server just had enough time to work through all those tasks.
