I thought it was maybe taken out with the latest update, and I just couldn’t find the alternative, but looking around the forums it looks like I’m not the only one missing it, but others have gotten it back but I still don’t see the option.
Can someone help me out?
What are you trying to match? It seems unchanged on my server.
i tried it with a show i just added, but when the option wasn’t there I tried it with various other shows on the server and the option just isn’t there
Are you sure you’re matching the show, and not a season? It’s only available at the show level.
if you are trying to match TV shows the option will only appear for the show as a whole, not individual episodes or seasons
ha ha, beat ya to it. 
I am selecting the show at the season level. on the main screen not going into the show. Neither match options are there. It’s like it never had the option at all, which it did the last time I added a show last week, so I have no idea what happened.
I started clicking around on other shows, and there are some that have the option, and others that don’t…now i really don’t know what’s going on. I thought it was an issue with the update, but it’s just random shows it just vanishes for… I don’t get it

You cannot do it from the Recently Added row. If you jsut added multiple episodes of a season that is a season poster and just represents the season which you cannot match.

it wasn’t showing up in the recommended tab, but it’s showing up in the library one. Not sure why, but it’s there and i was able to match it so I guess it’s all good now. Still weird, but it’s ok now, thank you
I’m guessing you were looking at the season, not the show as a whole, in the Recently Added row
yes. is it a recently added show thing? i used to do it in that section, but is that not a thing we can do anymore?
You’ve never been able to match a season. The Recently Added row displays the bit you added not necessarily the show as a whole.
is a season because I added multiple episodes of that season added at the same time. You cannot and never have been able to match that via a menu on the season poster

it says season 1 under the title, but it is in the recently added and the match option isn’t there. I had no problem with it before the most recent update, so i’m not sure what the problem is, but going to the library tab and doing it from in there seems to have fixed the problem

I don’t get it. i’ve done it in the past, and when i go into the library I can match the season, but if you say it than i know what i’ll do moving forward.

I think I know what’s going on, since I had the same thing myself.
I have Plex set to not list seasons if only one is present. If you’re just now adding a show and you only have one season so far (or if the show is only one season) you’re really viewing Season 1 when you click on the thumbnail. After pulling up the show, click on the text link for the title to go to the true Show page and not the Season page.
