Anyone have this working in the most recent version of Plex Media Server for Linux? I have it downloaded any installed but when I go to ‘Preferences->Agents->TheMovieDb Standalone’ it is not checked and I can’t check it. When I do a “fix incorrect match” on any titles with this agent, nothing but the filename shows up. It never seems to check the ‘themoviedb.com’ site for anything. Also, the system logs don’t seem to reflect the log entries that are shown inside the python code. I checked the API key and it’s working fine. Not really sure what is wrong. Any ideas? The permissions and owner is plex:plex and match the existing scanners.

There is a bug in this agent at the moment.
On line 97 of __init__.py it is trying to Log the thumbnail image, which is a fatal error.
I fixed this on mine by commenting out line 97.
If someone can point me to where I can build a new .plexapp file I'll build it.

Awesome! Finally I can identify movies in Plex that do not have an IMDB ID!



Is this available in the Unsupported App store? If not can you add it?

Hi,



First of all the plugin is very good. But when i use the plugin i can’t use my srt dutch subtitles anymore.

When i use the normal themoviedb plugin subtitels works fine.



I hope you can fix this because i really like the plugin.

I'm getting this same thing on Windows PMS. It's there but it's grayed out so I cannot select it.

Try editing the .xml file in Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Metadata Combination/ to include the agent itself in the list of agents.

This option is still grayed out but it seems to be working anyway. Thanks budswell for the updated version so it pulls in the artwork as well! This is awesome for UFC fights!!!

i’m currently having issues trying to install this plugin correctly (Mac with Plex/Web 0.9.6). What i’ve done so far;

  1. Unzipped the file, placed it into Plex Media Server/Contents/Resources/Plug-Ins
  2. Disabled capability checking in the settings
  3. In the agents section in settings I have ticked themovieDB under the Freebase tab.



    Not sure if there is anything that I need to do, but am not having any luck when trying to use the ‘Match using’ feature. Any ideas Plex gods?

Doesn't work for me alas. Running the latest Plex Media Server. As an alternative I tried to install this into ~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plugins/ but it doesn't show up. I also tried ~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Scanners/ but that didn't work either.

Any clues as to how to install this? I'm trying to get the Looney Tunes Golden Collection to scan properly but it's not working for me, as per http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/33135-looney-tunes-golden-collection-impossible-to-scrape/

Hey Guys,

I realise it’s a while since this closed, but I’ve been wondering if I’m doing something wrong here - I’ve tried both the original .plexapp posted by Raindancing, and the subsequent bundle from Aqntbghd, and I’m getting the correct metadata responses from queries on tmdb, but no cover art is coming across. Is this part missing, or is it something at my end?

Other than that - great job! Now all my skatebaording and snowboarding movies are being recognised…



Edit - Apologies! Just saw the updated version - working fine now…

Any suggestions to which part in the .PY file to modify to change it to scrape Dutch info? I see a few [Locale.Language.English]lines, do I need to change them all to Dutch or Nederlands?

The default TheMovieDB metadata agent (available throught the Channel Directory) got an update today and is now able to work as a primary agent out of the box.

Double-click on the .plexapp file. It will ask you if you want to install, just say yes.

But for me nothing work. I set on my synology the freebase agents active and configure too on biblio option the Scanner "Plex Movie Scanner" with agent " Freebase" and nothing on my movie files are find... Please can you help me ? Thks

Is this agent still working for UFC events? I can't get any of mine to match and pull the metadata for them.
