That is pure, bonafide madness. If you have bogus embedded title fields in MP4/M4V files, the party is over - and that is probably the #1 bad idea of all time for novice operators who’ll have no idea why all their stuff looks like it was downloaded from ‘whereabouts unknown’ and no matter what they do they can’t change it.
Sure, for you and I we know about Title Fields and how to deal with them, but how 'bout those other ‘Millions’ of ‘Regular Joes and Joeseys’?
For some reason Plex thinks that should be the default position of LMA - but they are wrong.
For most everyone, that should be how LMA is listed, unless for some specific reason you need it in priority. Far more folks are affected poorly by it’s location than are helped.

I’m getting art work now
But I’ve discovered another issue regarding translations. If a show only have the overview translated and not the title Plex will fetch the information in English.
And for episodes, if it only have the description translated it will get the information but have the date as episode title. Before it was filled with English/original language now it breaks a lot of shows. Is there a fix for this or is it just waiting?
I’m sorry; was that directed at me, everyone, or the other nested thread about translations? Hard to tell! Do you still need the logs in my reply (or shall I delete them)?
Anybody else got an issue where TV episodes aren’t getting data now? I added a new episode today for instance and it didn’t get any data… Yet, a show I added yesterday, DID get data.
The episode has data on TVDB though…
I’m getting that exact same issue. Shows that I had previously added are fine but none of the new episodes have any data. And a brand new show doesn’t pull anything at all but another new one does.
Well, after a night’s sleep, everything except for one episode has now gotten proper metadata.
Not sure how to fix the very last episode though…
This being the episode in question. https://thetvdb.com/series/the-imagineering-story/episodes/7410487
Should I still contact TVDB over it?
It won’t register the 4th episode properly. I’ve got it named right and everything and everything else seems to work fine on other shows (I just tested that by adding a new season to a show and that went all fine).
This episode, however, just gets popped in there as “Episode 04”. Not sure why.
Refreshing metadata makes no difference either.
Found that in the “com.plexapp.agents.thetvdb.log” file. Not sure what to do with it myself. Would be nice if I could fix it though, everything else (metadata on other shows) seems to work fine now!
I can create a separate post for this if you like, though. Just thought at first that maybe this issue was still part of that new TVDB stuff because there were multiple things not getting data for a moment.
Not sure if anyone else has noticed but since the switch to V3 I have noticed some Season posters missing.
One of particular note is Hitman Reborn, it no longer has the season posters.
That would be a TheTVDB “issue” as I just checked and the posters do not exist for any season after the first one (assuming this, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, is the correct series, linky).
For several days now, nothing I add to my Library will download episode names. IT all just shows up with the Episode #. Any idea when this will be fixed or what I can do to resolve on my end?
It actually stopped adding anything and there appeared to be database corruption. Following the repair guide did not work. As I had just moved from Windows to Docker a little over a week ago I removed and restored from my initial backup. Everything is working now and I only lost a few days of viewing activity.
