I have had to replace my old Synology DS920+ with a new Synology DS1621+ after the 920 failed. I wiped the reformated the drives out of the 920 and did a complete new install of 4 drives from the 920 and 2 drives from a 220. After the build with the drives I reloaded 1 movie, 1 TV show, 1 music folder and 1 picture folder to test. During the rebuild somehow the original IP of the server changed by on digit xxx.xxx.1.47 to xxx.xxx.1.48. Plex worked fine on my office TV and the living room TV but gives me this error message on my den TV and bedroom TV. How can I see what IP Plex is looking at on these TVs?, which I think is the problem.

Looking at this account,

I see a 192.168.1.13 (from two months ago on Windows)
I also see a 192.168.1.186 (from over 1 year ago on Synology DSM 7.1.1)

If you’ve gone into your account logs.
The only recent activity is a Roku TV. Sound about right?

If you want to ensure you’re getting the nas claimed,

  1. Uninstall the Synology package you have
    — Use the KEEP (first radio button) option
  2. Reinstall the same SPK again — HOWEVER
    – Install using Plex Claim Token method
    – Click “Get Plex Claim Token”
    – In the tab which opens, COPY the token it gives you
    – flip back and PASTE the token into the box on the install form.
(You only have 4 minutes so be prompt0
    – Click NEXT – NEXT – DONE
  3. The installer will use the token to fetch updated server credentials for you
  4. When installation is complete, it should report claimed for your username and email address.
  5. Start Plex.
