I am running a DS918+ with Plex server
Current DSM Version: DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 5
I went to the Plex site to check if there was any newer version as I am finding it just freezes on some shows while streaming from the plex
Version that is available for download from the plex site is
PlexMediaServer-1.32.1.6999-91e1e2e2c-x86_64_DSM6.spk
Trying to manual install this package over the top of the current one results in a message being displayed saying
Seems maybe that Plex need to update their spk files?
or is there a workaround for this

You’re trying to install the DSM 6 package on a DSM 7.x NAS. Try selecting “Synology (DSM 7)” from the server download page .

lol sorry just noticed the Synology (DSM 7) in the list
Plex need to make this clearer for the users and the packs I originally downloaded said
Intel 64-bit (DSM 6.0 and newer) Newer being the operative word here as 7 is of course newer than 6
