Hello there! I am new to Plex and am new to this newly acquired NetGear ReadyNAS. I’ve read some threads about this error message. I’ve tried signing out and signing back into Plex. I’ve tried changing the DNS servers on the NAS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. None of this helps. I just enabled the on board Anti-Virus on the NAS and it went out and downloaded the latest pattern file. This to me indicates it has internet access. But most threads I’ve read indicates that Plex can’t get to the server on the internet it is trying to authenticate against. Any help would be appreciated. NOTE: This is a fresh set up and first time set up.

Additional note: I’ve tried logging in using both Username and email address, with no help. When in PMS it shows me logged in via email address but when logging into these forums, it shows my username.

UPDATE: I got it working and here is what I had to do, maybe this will help someone in the future. First, as I mentioned in the original post, the NetGear ReadyNAS is new to me. The onboard “Installed Apps” and “Available Apps” were no longer functioning. NetGear no longer supports ReadyNAS devices, and as such, their version of the App Store is no longer available. I reverted back to version 6.10.9 on the ReadyNAS following the directions here: RN202 ReadyNAS 6.10.10: can’t install apps? - NETGEAR Communities. Once I reverted back to the older version, I can now to go the “Available Apps,” but there is nothing listed but doesn’t error out like it used to. Then I was able to use the “upload” button to then upload the latest Plex installer for Intel/ReadyNAS. Using the “upload” button wasn’t working until I downgraded my ReadyNAS version. After uploading the latest version, I was then able to claim the server.
