Tidal & H4 Codec Error

Hello, everybody,

Unfortunately, I very often have a bug when using Tidal. I try to play a song from Tidal and get the error h4 (Codec). Does anyone have an idea?

What device is this occurring? What version is your PMS?

Thanks for the quick answer.
The error occurs on two computers via the browser. Other songs from the same album work, though. Playback does not start on the phone but there is no error.
The server used is version 1.14.0.5470.

Which browser on what OS?

Chrome on Windows 10.

EDIT: Edge and Mozilla don’t work either.

I have the same problem and can’t play any Tidal music. Also, with the android app, the loading wheel just spins at 0:00 and the music never starts.

I am seeing the same issue. I am using the browser for playback.

  • Windows 10, 64 bit version (latest patches as of 12/26/2018)
  • Google Chrome, Version 71.0.3578.98 (Official Build) (64-bit)

This seems to be specific to the browser-based client. I tested this on my my Plex iOS app and am not seeing the same issues.

Update:
This also seems to be random. I logged out of Plex and logged back in and lo and behold I am able to play the music I had previously observed the error H4 Codec errors with.
