Tidal not behaving as expected after toggling subscription and activation

Hi Plex,

I had cancelled my Tidal subscription (at Tidal) the other day. It still had a few days left on it. After using the radio feature in Plex between my library and Tidal I reconsidered and reactivated my subscription (at Tidal). My Tidal subscription never actually expired.

But right after I reactivated my Tidal subscription, when playing Tidal songs in Plex it would only play previews of songs not full songs from my iPhone Plex App. From the web app (in Chrome) I get a message that says:

“There was an unexpected error loading this library
Please visit our forums if you continue to experience problems”

I tried force quitting the iPhone Plex App, deleting all Chrome browser history, Disabling and re-enabling Tidal in Plex, disconnecting and re-connecting Tidal to Plex. I can still only get previews on the iPhone Plex App and the Web App displays the error message listed above.

The Tidal desktop app and iPhone app are working fine. Tidal is functioning normally there. It’s just in Plex that I am having difficulty.

I had somebody take a look at your account to see if there was something wrong but it seems to be okay so I’m not sure exactly why you’re running into problems.

Could you just check again when you get this message and report if it’s still an issue as it may have been a caching issue. If you’re still seeing the problem go to your account settings (https://plex.tv/users/other-services) and unlink the TIDAL account and then re link it to see if that resolves your issue.

Hi @drzoidberg33 . Thank you. It’s working now, mostly. The web app still displays the error: “There was an unexpected error loading this library” under “Tidal” -> “My Tidal” only. Everything else is working properly now in the web app and the iphone app. Cheers.

Thanks for the feedback. For the “My TIDAL” issue you’re seeing, is that only in the web interface or does that happen on you iPhone too?
