Tidal suddenly unlinked/"There was an unexpected error loading this library"

I have a Plex Pass and Tidal subscription, managed through Plex. It’s worked fine for months, but this evening it suddenly seems to think I don’t have an account.

The Tidal ‘New Playlists’ widget on the home screen says ‘UNREACHABLE’, and when I go to the Tidal tab I get the banner advertising a Tidal subscription (which I already have). Every track I try to play is just a preview, and when I try to open ‘My Tidal’ or ‘My Tidal Playlists’ I get the error: “There was an unexpected error loading this library”.

Everything is fine if I use Tidal’s own app, but it’s not working at all through Plex.

I’ve unlinked and relinked my Tidal account several times, have reauthorised the link when it’s linked, have restarted PMS, and am running (I think) the latest version of PMS.

Trying to access via Plex Web Player, in Chrome, Mac OS, PMS Version 1.18.8.2527-740d4c206.

Thanks!

Have also tried this in Plex Player for Mac, same problem

It seems so as if my tidal account is not correctly linked with my plex account, because I only get the first 30 seconds of each titel in a tidal album. At my side the tidal account is
linked correctly but what’s abbout the side of plex administration. I have cut and and then linked again the tidal
account after logout several times, but without success. My English is ruther bad, so it’s difficult to use a Forum. Excuse me.

I have the same issue - seems to have occurred near the auth outage recently. Tried relinking my account, restarting the server, etc. to no avail.

Just got my Hifi bundle with Tidal, sam thing here, says it cant show,
Have linked it but still only in preview mode.

EDIT: Looks like I didn’t search around in the forums enough. Seems I was able to fix my issue by removing my browser and Android device from the “Authorized Devices” list in my server settings, and logging them back in. Solution from bradbart948: TIDAL integration used to work... now does not work

I am experiencing the same issue as well. I get the “unexpected error” message when trying to load the “My TIDAL” library through the web app, and have access to only the 30sec previews of any TIDAL content. Similarly I only get 30sec for each song in the Android app and the “My TIDAL” library seems empty. When I check the “Other Accounts” page through the web app, it shows my TIDAL subscription being linked (I have tried reauthorizing, and explicitly unlinking and relinking it).

To be clear, I can access all my TIDAL content as expected through the first-party apps on the same devices, so it is not an issue of my TIDAL account losing access to the content itself.

I would be happy to provide any logs that might help, if given instructions on how to gather them.

Had to restart my client as well. Just a re-login didn’t do the trick.

1: Check to make sure Tidal is still linked in Plex account settings https://plex.tv/users/other-services (mine was not)
2. Remove the client from “Authorized Devices” in Plex server settings https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/devices/all
3. Close that client
4. Restart client + sign-in

This saved me some head-banging, so thank you!

I signed up for a Tidal promo today and was really getting frustrated when I couldn’t actually get it to work after linking my account with Plex.

Now I have my phone and one web client working, but it’s pretty annoying if I have to reauthorize every other device I have.

Thank you, this resolved my issue

This is still a problem for me. I have removed all Authorized Devices and re-auth’ed to no avail.

I don’t believe I can “link” and external Tidal account in my “other services” as I am paying for Tidal through Plex.

I am a paying customer and would love to get this looked at. I’m technically capable and would be happy to debug, but this seems to be a bit of a black-box issue. What is my recourse? I want to listen to the new Dua Lipa album!!!

Thanks!
