TM TOS 6.0.794 failing to launch Plex

Server Version#:1.42

Having problems launching Plex.

Did a factory reset, fresh install. Plex will enable but I only get a splash screen when I launch.

This is all TM approved and authorized OS and app.

How do I get around this?

Have you tried other browsers? Turned off all extensions and such?

ried that on both Chrome and Safari - no go.

For TOS 6.0 and TM vetted application(Plex) to be such a problem is unreal.

I’ve seen 10 days with e-mail exchange with TM. 3 remote sessions(close to 9 hrs) and absolutely nothing.

I gave up on TM support when they left me hanging for 35 min without telling me they went to lunch.

I’ve been without my server for 3 weeks. What kind of business is ok with this?

If you look at the browser console logs does it have any errors? (Right click on some empty place on page and choose Inspect. Open console tab if not already on it and refresh page)

Also curious if you can just remove everything from /setup.. to the right.

Thanks for Responding.

I’ve included a screen of errors from when I tried to launch app.

I tried truncating address to run set up - didn’t work.

that is for the forums. need to do it on the Plex set up page you were on in previous screenshot

@Sneller61 Are you opening PMS from TOS or manually inputting the IP address? Your NAS’s IP is 10.160.0.177. What is your Mac’s IP address? Are both devices (Mac and TOS) on the same network?

G’Day,

Thanks for responding.

I am launching PMS from TOS Desktop. Both my computer and server are on same network and different IPs. PMS tries to launch using port 32400. I have confirmed port 32400 is reserved for the Plex server. I’ve been toying with the idea of reserving a different port but unsure which one to use. As insight would be appreciated.

Sorry for the delay

Can you please answer these questions?

I am able to reproduce a similar access issue to your issue when connecting to TOS NAS from a separate network (10.10.0.0/16 & 10.0.8.0/21). The IP for your NAS is unusual to see in a home network setup.

Please try again without any extensions enabled.

Try accessing http://10.160.0.177:32400/web in an incognito/private Chrome session.

Tried on both Safari and Chrome - no go

I tried. Here’s a screen shot.

Mac’s IP is 10 160.0.84

Launching from TOS Desktop

Well, I’ve moved on. I backed the db files , uninstalled Plex and installed Emby. It seems to have scanned the media and I’m getting ready to build my server again.

With every recreated playlist and collection, I curse both Plex and TM for creating and not resolving this mess.

I do not have nice thoughts about either organization.

Your input was appreciated.
