Starting earlier today for some reason extras seem to be broken. I noticed when I was trying to play a movie and I got an error message reading, “Conversion failed. The transcoder exited due to an error” I tried another movie and got the same thing. Then another and another. I restarted plexmediaserver and tried again with no luck.
Rebooting my server (the computer this time) didn’t change my experience and I tried with all my devices in case there was one that didn’t need transcoding of the file. When I tried the last movie I played, which I had not completed it worked and that led me to believe it’s the extras since I have my settings on all devices to start by playing trailers before showing a movie.
I then tried with TV show trailers and extras and the only ones that worked are the ones that I have stored locally. I have since turned off the trailer feature before movies for now but it’s something I enjoy and would like to re-enable since it is the primary way I learn of new movies that are coming or that I have but haven’t watched.
The weird thing is if I try playing a trailer from the discover section it is working. Is anyone else experiencing this?
