Hey there,
I recently migrated my Plex Server from one Windows machine to another, following the below steps from Plex in the process. The server works great for local and remote players - usage/play statistics transferred normally and I can play my content normally.
Since the migration, I have:
- Optimized the database
- Cleaned bundles
- Refreshed all library metadata
- Emptied trash
- Changed transcoding temp directory to C:\Temp\PlexCoder
- Signed out and back into Plex server
- Rebooted server
- Updated Windows 10 fully and all associated drivers (no bangs in device manager)
Though, when I try to play trailers on any player, I am getting “Playback Error: Conversion failed. The transcoder exited due to an error.”. This happens on any movie trailer I try to play, but playing the movie itself works fine. Transcoding the movie down to 720p also works fine.
Any tips, suggestions, fixes or insights are most apprecaited. Thanks in advance!
