I am using a HDHomerun to record live TV and I am getting quite a few occurrences of “An error occurred while postprocessing the recording”. I have “Convert video while recording” set in DVR Device settings and in DVR settings there is no post processing script. It happened last night on a program on BBC so there are no commercials - I have ‘Remove Commercials’ set!
Searching for this brought up a response in the Unraid forums about the Transcode directory, which I have not set anything in, so on the advice of that forum I have set it to (quite randomly) /transcode and I will monitor how that works.
I am not aware that there are actually any problems, the program last night does play OK, as I say there are no commercials anyway and my standard test is - do I get to see the closing titles - Yes.
I don’t know which log file to look in, I have looked through any that I think may be likely candidates but have not been able to see anything.
Can anyone tell me anything about this or indeed where do I start to look?
