Hoping you can help.

I believe I’m having issues with the transcoding of channels to the devices I’m looking to run LIVE TV too. In this case in the main 2 x Fire sticks, 1 x 2nd Gen Wireless and 1 x 4k Wired. I have also tried to Phones and Tablets.

I’ve ruled out the issue being a weak signal, though when you try and view any channel, be it SD or HD it takes an age to load and when it does you maybe get 30 seconds of watchable content. Recording displays the same issues on playback. If you skip through it starts off choppy and then you get maybe 30 secs to a minute of flawless viewing then breaks up again.

Indoor aerial is in its most optimal position and is flawless when connected directly to a TV on SD or HD channels, network bandwidth is fine (Full 40Mbps to all devices, wired or wireless), Server software is running on a newly built Intel I5 PC with 16GB of memory, which streams 4k video with no issues at all across my network.

I’m running out of ideas and things to test so hoping a fresh pair of eyes will help.

I have resolved this now with the help of the support teams from HD Homerun and Channels TV, my issue was down to cross interference from lower frequency signals in my home.

I have to say the lack of any reply on this topic has spoken volumes about Plex as a LIVE TV service, as such I have cancelled my Plex pass as a result.

I appreciate my lack of knowledge on this subject may have contributed to this, However, I also am mindful that when I was using this software as a free user I was constantly bombarded by e-mails asking me to sign up for the pass, I will however be putting my money where the support lays and hope this post serves as helpful to other users.
