Troubles with Playstation 4 not Connecting to Remote Server

I set myself up a Plex server on a Mac mini in my home office. I am living in another state for a few months and have my playstation 4 pro. I’ve been successfully connecting to the server on the web interface from my laptop, but no matter what I can’t seem to connect to it in the Plex app of the playstation 4. I have double checked that both the playstation system software and the app are fully up to date and I just set up the server about a month ago and so I’m pretty sure that is up to date as well. If anyone has any advice that would be super helpful:-)
