I used PMS for about 2 years since my last problem. Congratulations for the great work.
Recently I added about 10 tv shows. PMS did not download any covers for the series nor seasons. The actors, the description text and other informations are right, just the pictures are missing. By the way, the pics of every episode are displayed correctly but I think they are processed with the video file and not downloaded. The episodes (e.g. brooklyn nine-nine) are listet on thetvdb which I’m using. I tryed to rescan, refresh metadata and analyze, not difference. It seems like the episodes are still assigned correctly, just the covers are missing.
Any idea where the problem could be?
What version of PMS are you using? On Wednesday, the issue with TheTVDB API change was finally resolved. 1.13.2.5142 was released with this change included. Since then, another minor hotfix was released as 1.13.2.5154.
Thats it, thank you. I used 1.13.0.x. Didn’t know that issue. It’s working fine now.
It still doesn’t work for me.
I had 90% of my tv shows without artwork after my shield rebuild. Version 5149 totally fixed it.
In another post, @Strategizer8520 did the following which I did too.
“I had this problem too, But the latest update for PMS released today has fixed artwork downloads for me. Now all missing artwork will download 100%.
After downloading the update for PMS, Make sure to go to the Nvidia Shield Tv Settings & clear cache for PMS (Settings>Apps>Plex Media Server>Clear Cache). Restart Shield/PMS & Refresh Metadata for Tv Shows through the Web app.”
Everyone must remember to “Refresh Metadata” in those TV library sections with missing artwork. It will force-clear the ‘failed to get poster’ status in the metadata then download it otherwise it will remain blank.
