I would like to record a local TV NEWS program which is shown three times per day, at 12:00 noon - 6:00 pm and 11:30 pm. Since this program is identified by the same file name&date, it is only recorded once per day. GraceNote is indicating the correct information, as far as the three different times (per day) the program is shown; however the Plex DVR only records the first instance of the program - that being the one occurring at 12:00 noon. I believe there needs to be another attribute in the file name which refers to the time of day; thus making that file unique.
Can the Plex team please address this issue in a upcoming software release?

There is already a registered issue to do with multiple episodes airing on the same day.
Could you provide server logs covering period of when the recording is skipped please and I will add it to that issue
or just choose to record “new and repeat airings” and it will record it all. I’m guessing that no news program is a repeat but it may be coded that way.
