TV Series with Multiple (P1 & P2) Part Seasons

I have the Sapranos and season six is two parts. Each disk for P1 & P2 start with number 1. With part two, do I advance from part 1? Part 1: S06E01-S06E12. Part 2: S06E01-S06E09.

Do I just take Part 2 and have it as S06E11-S06E21?

Thank you.

Plex has no concept for half-seasons or volumes.
Best verify with the common metadata repository (preferably the one used by the episode ordering)

According to TMDb, Sopranos season 6 has 21 episodes:

Thank you, Tom. That tells me to just continue naming convention from S06E01- S06E21.

I’m guessing that should work out, however, time will tell.

Again: Thank You!

I’m just finishing up on part 1. I should be done with P2 by tonight/tomorrow morning, so I’ll reply the results. P1 does have 12. P2 has 9. That would be the 21. I will also look at the DB.

I’ve got The Sopranos in my library. I just have S6 listed with episodes 1-21 and it matches fine.

It sounds like you’re ripping your discs for the show and each disc has a single file of multiple episodes here. You need to have your ripping software rip by the episode individually.

I just ran up to the NAS P2 S06E1 through S06E3, and labels them as S06E13 through S06E15. I check those three against IMDB vs. Plex, and Its all a match.

Life is good!

Though each disk has 3 episodes, Its not a ripping issue. ā€œMakeMKVā€ handles it well. The issue is that season six has a Part 1 and a Part 2 disc. Each disc lable starts with Episode 1.

The answer is a continuance of episode number from the last one in part1.
