I am recording Charlie’s Angels (The 1976 version) into Plex TV folder. All these shows are being saved in a subfolder named “Charlies Angels”. Plex always matches this with Charlie’s Angels (2011). How can I get Plex to match the right one automatically? Renaming the folder to Charlies Angels (1976) does not work.
How are the files themselves named?
Are they in mp4 or m4v file format?

Yes, the files are named.
Charlies.Angels.S02E02.Angels.in.Paradise.ts
Charlies.Angels.S02E05.Pretty.Angels.All.in.a.Row.ts
Charlies.Angels.S01E22.Blue.Angels.ts
etc.
They are in .ts from NextPVR.
Can you teach NextPVR not to use dots where spaces are supposed to be?
There also should be hyphens before and after the Season/Episode code.
TV Shows/
Charlie's Angels/
Season 01/
Charlie's Angels - S01E22 - Blue Angels.ts
Season 02/
Charlie's Angels - S02E02 - Angels in Paradise.ts
Charlie's Angels - S02E05 - Pretty Angels All in a Row.ts
rename it this way, then perform the Plex Dance.
You might be able to employ Filebot to better your file naming and folder organisation.
Plex has no trouble decoding the season and episode numbers for the file scheme coming from NextPVR. The agent simply matches it to the wrong charlies angels. I’ll try some of these suggestions and see if I can get it match correctly.
Don’t forget the ‘possessive’ apostrophe in the file names.
