I’m having a really odd issue with the TV Show Blood & Treasure. Even though the file is named 100% correctly, and thetvdb shows it correctly, it is naming episode 6 with 7’s information, and 7 with 8’s… etc… I can’t figure out what’s causing this to happen with ONLY this show when the information I’m seeing on the site and my server are correct… anyone have any ideas?
Are they MP4’s? possibly they have incorrect embedded metadata

I think I had to ‘fix match’ at the series play screen.
Very odd as Ep 8 has not been released. I’ve checked my eps and seem to be correct with mkv
Episode 1 and 2 were broadcast together, depending on where the files were sourced from, they could be a single file or separate files throwing the numbering off when it’s pulled from thetvdb.

Every episode I’ve got is an MKV file, and I’m not seeing any metadata in there that would be causing a problem. I do have episode 1 and 2 that are joined together, but if it was a numbering problem caused by that, wouldn’t it show the episode prior, not the episode subsequent ? If I were getting episode 6 showing all the details of 5, I could see that happening, but I’m getting episode 6 showing all the details of episode 7, I have to keep manually updating it and everything is prepared before hand through MCM, which doesn’t show any incorrect information, only plex does
Exactly why I’m confused, my Wife is watching them and then telling me the descriptions don’t match, and yeah it literally is putting the information for the ones that aren’t released yet
Let’s step back a bit. Can you tell us the actual full filenames.
The scanner and tvdb logs from server would be good to see as well from when they were added
You could also do a fix match and use themoviedb instead if it is a tvdb issue.

I should also mention that I did manually correct the information in plex so far.
Looks like your log rolled over so I can’t find those scans of that show. I’m taking a guess that possibly it was using the info from ThemovieDB instead of tvdb. not sure if you have that enabled as a secondary under the TVDB.

so what tvdb as episode 7 as Escape from Casablanca but themoviedb has episode 7 as the Lunchbox of destiny (which is episode 8 on tvdb).
Bingo, that’s what it was I think, I checked my settings and The Movie DB was set above TheTVDB. I swapped that around, that should take care of the issue. You’re right on the money that the episode list on Movie DB is different, and that’s where the confusion is, I’m sure.

both tvdb and moviedb are now going by the cbs provided info of a combined cleopatra episode 1
