TV Show collections and the "Hide items in this collection" setting for Collection Mode (RESOLVED)

Is this option supposed to work the same as Movies? I have a bunch of single/only a few episode(s) of some Saturday morning cartoon type shows, and want to just lump them all into a collection. However, the option “Hide items in this collection” seems to do nothing in this regard… they still all show in the Library view.

I see older topics that seem to describe what I’m looking for ("Hide Items which are in collections" works only for Movie libraries? - #4 by criscov), and I am sorting and showing all as described here, but that is not what I’m experiencing.

Works fine as far as I can see.

I named this collection to start with 1882… so it showed up top and 1883 and 1923 are not displayed next to it.

I don’t think that this is working for collections of tv show’s episodes.
It does work however for collections of tv shows as such.

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I tried the same test, but I’m receiving the same behavior. The collection doesn’t show up in my Library and the two items continue to. Please see attached. Anything I can check that I may be missing?

I believe I have solved it. It seems that Plex did not like me having “Hide collections but show their items” as my default for my TV Shows library’s Collection setting:

After changing it to “Show collections and their items” it is behaving as I would expect. I knew it had to be something! I will close this, thanks those who read and extra special thanks for those who chimed in.
